How to Buy Dior Perfume on a Budget
From Sauvage to Miss Dior and the Maison Christian Dior collection: how to pay less for Dior with pre-loved bottles, smart sizing and per-ml math.

Dior covers a wide price range, from everyday bestsellers like Sauvage, Miss Dior and J'adore to the higher-priced Maison Christian Dior collection. That range makes it one of the easiest luxury houses to buy on a budget, if you know where to look.
Start with pre-loved bottles
Sauvage and Miss Dior are among the most widely worn fragrances anywhere, so plenty of partly used bottles change hands. Many come from people who received a gift set, switched to a different concentration, or wanted to try something new. A bottle with most of its fill left can cost far less than retail and smell exactly as it should, provided it was kept away from heat and light.
Choose a smaller size
Most Dior lines come in several bottle sizes, and the smallest one is often the cheapest way to try a fragrance without regret. Travel sprays and gift sets with small bottles also show up regularly. If you already know you love a scent, a larger pre-loved bottle often wins on price per ml.
Know the concentrations
Dior is a house where the concentration really matters. Sauvage exists as eau de toilette, eau de parfum, parfum and Elixir, and each smells noticeably different. Miss Dior includes an eau de parfum, Blooming Bouquet and a parfum. J'adore has several versions too. Prices rise with concentration, so if you are happy with the eau de toilette, there is no reason to pay for the stronger one. Dior has also reissued and renamed some lines over the years, Dior Homme being one example, so check the exact name on the label before you buy.
Testers
Dior testers sometimes appear on the resale market, usually in plain packaging and sometimes without a cap. They can be good value. Ask for clear photos of the bottle and its labels, and compare them with photos of retail bottles of the same fragrance.
Do the price per milliliter math
Divide the listing price by the milliliters left in the bottle. As an example, a 60 ml Sauvage Elixir at 80% full holds about 48 ml. Listed at $72, it works out to $1.50 per ml. Compare that with the current per-ml price on Dior's own site and with other listings for the same concentration, and you will know quickly whether a bottle is a deal.
Check batch codes and condition
Dior bottles and boxes carry batch codes. Ask for photos of both and check that they match. CheckFresh and similar tools can often estimate the production date, which is useful for older lines that have changed over time. Very popular fragrances like Sauvage attract counterfeiters, so look closely at the cap, sprayer, glass and label, and consider a FoS Verified listing for an inspection before the bottle ships.
Use offers and price alerts
Set a price alert on Feelings of Scent for the exact Dior fragrance and concentration you want, then make a fair offer when a bottle comes close to your target price per ml. Because Dior bottles are listed often, you rarely need to take the first one you see. Buyers pay no buyer fee, so the price you agree is the price of the bottle.
Dior bottles worth watching
- Sauvage Eau de Toilette: the lowest-cost way into the Sauvage line.
- Sauvage Elixir: concentrated and long-lasting, so a partial bottle goes a long way.
- Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet: a lighter, fresher Miss Dior.
- J'adore: smooth white florals that turn up often pre-loved.
- Fahrenheit: a distinctive 1988 classic with violet leaf and leathery woods.
- Hypnotic Poison: almond and vanilla, often more affordable than newer launches.
- Maison Christian Dior: the higher-priced collection, where pre-loved bottles save the most.
